The One by Oriflame Series: Everyday Beauty!

Here we are at the third part of the blog series I am doing on the THE ONE by Oriflame products, this will probably be one my longest blog post ever, I have a lot say and also to show you :) Beside the fact that it will be long the review is going to be a little bit different from the ones you are used too, I encountered a small problem that I think I was able to successfully manage it. So let's begin! :)

Iată că am ajuns la cea de-a treia parte din seria articolelor dedicate produselor THE ONE by Oriflame, probabil că acesta va fi unul dintre cele mai lungi articole de pe blog de până acum, am o gramadă de lucruri să vă povestesc și să vă arăt :) Pe lângă faptul că va fi un articol lung, review-ul va fi și puțin diferit față de review-urile mele obișnuite, asta pentru că m-am confruntat cu o mică problemă pe care zic eu că am reusit să o rezolv cu succes. Despre ce este vorba veți afla în rândurile următoare :)

I was really, really curious about the IlluSkin foundation, I'm looking for a foundation with a pretty good coverage, but with a very natural finish :) Unfortunately I wasn't able to test this foundation because the shade was very dark for me (I was practically orange). I could've combine it with a lighter foundation/BB cream, but there was no point in doing that I had to wear it alone to be able to talk about it. So I decided to ask someone to help me, luckily I knew the perfect person for this job so this will be a first impression review: my impression as the person who applies it and also the model's impression on it from the moment I have applied it until the end of the day :)

Am fost tare, tare curioasă în legătură cu fondul de ten, sunt în căutarea unui fond de ten cu o acoperire bunicică, dar cu un finish foarte natural :) Din păcate n-a fost chip să mă potrivesc cu fondul acesta de ten pentru că nuanța a fost mult, mult prea închisă pentru mine (practic aveam fața portocalie). Puteam bineînțeles să-l amestec cu un alt produs mult mai deschis, dar în cazul acela nu puteam să vă mai vorbesc despre el pentru că nu-l purtam de unul singur. Buuun...așa ca am decis să apelez la un model căruia știam sigur că i se va potrivi nuanța și-am decis ca review-ul acestui fond de ten să fie de fapt o primă impresie despre produs: împresiile mele ca persoană care îl aplică și impresiile modelului meu de la aplicare până la sfârșitul zilei :)

The packaging is made out of glass and it comes with a pump. The pump works great I was able to get the exact amount of product I wanted. The Nude Beige shade is the fifth shade in the range and it is suitable for people with medium skin tone. I've applied using a damp beauty blender (the results may vary depending on the application method) this is my favourite way of applying foundations/BB Creams because I want to achieve a natural look. The foundation has a creamy consistency, slightly liquidity and it doesn't seem to have a smell or I can't smell it. Regarding its coverage, it has a medium coverage, one layer evens skins out, conceals redness, but only from the second layer starts to cover the problem areas. Both me and my model (combination skin) agreed that it looks very natural on the skin, we didn't find it to look cakey. I asked her if she feels she has something applied on her skin, she said she doesn't feel the foundation, she feels her skin like she has nothing on it. It has a slightly, slightly powdery finish, she was very excited about this because she doesn't like to apply powder. I didn't find to emphasize the dry areas as you can also see in the photos. I can't tell you the staying power because we tested it only with powder, but after 7-8 hours, the rain also caught her, the makeup looked good, there were no patchy areas, the foundation stayed in place. I've tested it on one side of my face and I also liked the way it looked and felt so I will definitely buy the lightest shade because now I want to use it, I really liked the way it looked in my model.

Recipientul în care vine fondul de ten este din sticlă și este dotat cu pompiță. Pompița dozează foarte bine, n-am avut probleme cu ea, cât produs am vrut atât am obtinut. Nuanța Nude Beige este penultima nuanța disponibilă și este potrivită persoanelor cu tenul mediu. Pentru aplicare am folosit un beauty blender umezit (în funcție de ce metodă de aplicare folosiți există posibilitatea să obțineți rezultate diferite) pentru că mi pare că prin această metodă de aplicare obțin cel mai natural rezultat. Fondul de ten are o consistență cremoasă, ușor lichidă, nu mi se pare că are vreun miros. În ceea ce privește puterea de acoperire, mie personal mi se pare că undeva spre medie, uniformizează nuanța pielii, ascunde roșeața, dar abia din al doilea strat începe să acopere zonele cu probleme. Atât eu cât și modelul meu (ten mixt) am fost de acord că arată natural aplicat pe ten, nu ni s-a părut că ar încărca tenul. Am întrebat-o dacă simte ceva diferit la ten după ce l-am aplicat, dacă simte produsul aplicat, mi-a raspuns că nu simte că aș fi aplicat ceva pe ten, își simte tenul ca înainte de a mă apuca de machiaj. Are un finish ușor pudrat, mi-a spus că e foarte încântată de acest aspect pentru ca ei nu îi place să folosească pudra. Nu mi s-a părut să evidențieze zonele uscate și asta cred că veți putea obseva și din fotografii. Nu pot însa să vă spun ce rezistență are fără pudră pentru că l-am testat direct cu pudră, dar la sfarsitul zilei (7-8 ore de purtare), dupa ce a alergat și prin ploaie, arăta foarte bine, nu se strânsese in anumite zone, era la locul lui. L-am testat și eu din curiozitate pe un obraz și mi-a plăcut tare mult cum se simte, pare hidratant și cu un rezultat natural, nu de ten încărcat de produs, sunt foarte hotărâtă să-l achiziționez în culoarea mea pentru că am fost tare încântată de cum se aplică și de rezultatul obținut.

The concealer reminds me of the concealer from the Studio range (I don't know if it's still available), it has exactly the same packaging: a plastic squeeze tube and the consistency and coverage power are very similar to that one. Luckily I was able to try this concealer on myself , even though I have fair skin the Nude Beige shade adapted very well to my skin color, it has a small to medium coverage, it blends in really nicely, but I had to quickly set it with powder because it was starting to get in fine lines. It actually adds brightness (you can see that in the photo where I've applied it to my model) to the eye area, I really like that it does that. During the day it lasted very well. I find it to be a pretty good concealer for its price, I would purchase it though in the lightest shade because I like to use very light concealers to brighten the eye area.

Corectorul îmi aduce tare mult aminte de corectorul din gama Studio (nu stiu dacă mai este disponibil), ambalajul are exact acceaşi formă: tubuleţ din plastic pe care apăsăm ca să iasă produsul şi mi se pare şi foarte asemănător ca acoperire şi consistenţă. Din fericire produsul acesta l-am putut testa şi eu, deşi am pielea deschisă la culoare, nuanţa Nude Beige s-a adaptat foarte bine culorii pielii mele, are o acoperire mica înspre medie, se întinde frumos, a trebuit însă să aplic rapid pudră pentru că am observat că s-a strâns în micile riduri de sub ochi. Veţi vedea la modelul meu ca într-adevar oferă un plus de luminozitate, mi-a plăcut tare mult lucrul acesta. Pe parcursul zilei a rezistat foarte bine. Mi se pare un corector bun pentru preţul lui, l-aş cumpara în nuanţa Light pentru că mie personal îmi place să folosesc corectoare cât mai deschise pentru zona ochilor.

I like the packaging, it is small, made out of a hard plastic and it comes with a mirror and a sponge, it has the perfect size for you to carry it around in case you need some touch-up throughout the day. The Medium shade looks pretty good even on my fair skin, I tested it on myself and also on my model. I find it to have an amazing matiffing effect, we both have combination skin and it kept the shine away for more than 6 hours after that there was a natural shine, not an oily one (I've also tried it with BB Creams and I got the same result). The only thing that I don't like about it it's the fact that it looks a little bit cakey, not like you have a mask on, but you can see the powder and I personally prefer natural looking ones, but this is based on my personal preferences.

Îmi place ambalajul, micută, confecţionată dintr-un plastic dur şi echipată cu o oglindă şi un bureţel, are dimensiunea perfectă pentru a o lua cu noi peste tot în cazul în care avem nevoie de mici retuşuri pe parcursul zilei. Nuanţa Medium mi se pare bună chiar şi pentru cei cu tenul deschis, am putut să o testez atât pe mine cât şi pe modelul meu. Mi s-a părut ca matifiază foarte bine tenul, efect ce s-a menţinut în ambele cazuri pe o perioadă destul de lungă de timp (peste 6 ore pe ten mixt, iar după aceea luciul a fost unul natural, în niciun caz aspect uleios). Singurul lucru care nu mi-a plăcut a fost că mi se pare că încarcă tenul, am observat asta atât la mine cât şi la modelul meu, nu-l încarcă în sensul în care ar părea că ai avea o mască pe fata ci este vizibilă, ceea ce mie personal nu-mi place, dar asta ţine probabil şi de preferinţele personale.

To be able to show you how the products look applied on the skin I chose to create an everyday makeup on a beautiful model, her name is Samar and she is my little sister-in-law, thank you Samar for agreeing to help me demonstrate how the products work :) Samar has a medium complexion, combination skin, she doesn't have that many problems with her skin, only a few blocked pores from time to time.

Pentru a vă arăta cum arată produsele aplicate, am ales sa creez un machiaj de zi pe frumosul meu model Samar (Samar este cumnata mea cea mai mică :D) căreia îi mulţumesc tare mult pentru că a fost de acord să mă ajute :) Samar are un ten mediu, mixt, cu foarte mici probleme (pori blocaţi din când în când).

THE ONE by Oriflame Series: Power Shine Lip Gloss Review + Swatches

I've started testing out the products from the new collection THE ONE by Oriflame as soon as I got them because I was super excited and couldn't wait to start talking about them here on my blog, of course as always I will as honest as I have ever been. I've decided to dedicate a whole series to these products because it is impossible for me to talk about them in one big post, you know I like to talk a lot :D So without boring to death anymore with my intro speech let's get started, today I'll tell you about my experience with the Power Shine Lip Glosses :)

De săptămâna trecută am început să testez intens, cu drag şi cu mult spor noua colecţie THE ONE de la Oriflame. De-abia aştept să vă împărtăşesc impresiile mele despre noile produse, impresii ce vor fi sincere aşa cum v-am obişnuit şi până acum. Am hotărât să dedic o serie de postari despre aceste produse pentru că îmi este imposibil să vă arăt şi să vă povestesc despre toate într-un singur articol, îmi e greu să mă exprim în puţine cuvinte :D Acest articol deshide oficial seria postarilor THE ONE by Oriflame şi astăzi vă voi povesti experienţa mea cu gloss-urile de buze Power Shine :)

If somebody would ask me what would I describe the packaging, I would say it is delicate and elegant. The plastic that they are made of seems to be very qualitative, you can feel the weight when you are holding them. I was really excited when I saw the doe foot applicator, I've tried glosses with some other types of doe foot applicators and with brushes and I like these ones the most. When you take it out of the tube you have the perfect amount of product on the doe foot and it distributes the product perfectly on the lips.

Dacă cineva m-ar întreba cum aş descrie ambalajul gloss-urilor Power Shine, le-aş răspunde că mi se par delicate şi elegante. Plasticul din care sunt realizate pare un plastic de calitate şi spun asta pentru că au anumită greutate când le ţi în mână. Am fost foarte încântată de forma aplicatorului, de-a lungul timpului am avut gloss-uri care au avut alte tipuri de aplicatoare, dar dintre toate testate până acum tipul acesta mi s-a părut cel mai grozav. Scoate suficent produs din tub şi distribuie frumos produsul pe buze.

When it comes to lip glosses I have a big problem: I can't stand the sticky ones. If they are sticky I don't even care how beautiful they are or how resistant they are, all the positive things fade away. So obviously the first thing I wanted to see was if they were sticky (I kept repeating in my head: please don't be sticky, please don't be sticky) and lucky for me they weren't, they are creamy :) They smell delicious, a sweet fruity scent, the taste is a little bit scented, it doesn't really bother me.

Când vine vorba despre gloss-uri eu am o mare problemă: nu suport gloss-urile lipicioase. Dacă sunt lipicioase atunci pentru mine nu mai contează cât de frumoase sau de rezistente sunt, senzaţia anulează complet orice lucru pozitiv. Aşa că evident primul lucrul pe care l-am testat a fost să văd dacă sunt lipicioase (îmi repetam în gând: să nu fie lipicioase, să nu fie lipicioase), din fericire pentru mine nu sunt lipicioase, sunt cremoase :) Miros absolut senzaţional, au un miros dulceag-fructat, e o plăcere să le miroşi, gustul e si el destul de parfumat, dar nu extraordinar de deranjant. 

I've been testing out the Rose Glacier and the Trendy Berry shades, the first one is a very light pink and the other one is as the name says a berry shade. The lip glosses from the Power Shine range are all pretty sheer, which makes them perfect for daytime use and for nighttime use on top of your favourite lipstick, they all have glitter, but don't worry, the glitter looks nice on the lips. Regarding their resistance, I would say the last up to an hour maybe two so you do have to reapply them quite often. I don't find them to be very moisturizing, but I do have dry lips 90% of the time so maybe some of you won't agree with me on this one.

Am testat nuanţele Rose Glacier şi Trendy Berry, prima fiind o nuantă foarte deshisă de roz, iar cea de-a doua fiind o nuanţă mai închisă. Toate gloss-urile din gama Power Shine au la baza o culoare nu foarte pigmentată ceea ce le face ideale pentru a fi purtate ziua cât şi seara peste rujul preferat şi au sclipici, dar să nu vă fie teamă, e un sclipici foarte fin care arata foarte bine. În ceea ce priveşte rezistenţa lor pe buze, aş spune că rezistă undeva la o oră şi jumătate înspre două, deci va trebui să îl reaplicaţi destul de des. Nu mi s-au părut foarte hidratante, dar eu am buzele foarte uscate în 90% din timp aşa că s-ar putea ca multe dintre voi să nu-mi împărtăşiţi această opinie.

I have said many, many times that I love pigmented glosses, but since I started testing out these ones I think I kind of started to change my opinion, lately I've been wearing very natural makeup and the Power Shine lip glosses went great with the look I was trying to achieve ♥

Deşi întodeauna am afirmat că îmi plac doar gloss-urile foarte pigmentate, să ştiţi că de când le-am testat pe aceastea am cam început să-mi schimb părerea, în ultima vreme am purtat numai machiaje foarte naturale iar gloss-urile Power Shine s-au potrivit de minune cu look-ul pe care am vrut să-l obţin ♥

The ONE by Oriflame

Hello :D

Oriflame începe anul în plină forță, fiind partener oficial la unul dintre cele mai cunoscute evenimente de moda din lume, Stockholm Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week 2014. Cu ocazia acestui eveniment grandios, compania a lansat noul brand de machiaj, inspirat de ultimele tendinţe – The ONE by Oriflame.

La eveniment a fost prezentă și Oriflame Romania alături de zeci de jurnaliste și bloggeri din intreagă lume.
